Participant Criteria
Participants intent on transforming their ideas into a business could include:
- business experience or be a post graduate
- the appetite for substantial business development in international markets
- a business idea that is knowledge based, with some potential for intellectual property ownership
- Owner/director running a start up
- Director/manager working in an existing business with a innovative idea that could become a business in its own right
- R&D academics want to start up a business from a research project
- Graduates with a good idea wanting to start a business
- Recently made redundant or unemployed with a good idea, wanting to start a business
To participate on the programme you must be
- resident in Northern Ireland, or
- prepared to locate your business to the region
Business Idea Criteria:
Your idea should ideally be knowledge sector with some potential for intellectual property ownership.
A propel business idea is likely to result in a business which will sell and operate.
- outside of Northern Ireland with significant export potential,and
- in one of the following sectors:
- Advanced Materials
- Bioscience & Healthcare
- Design Engineering and Photonics
- Emerging and Energy Technologies
- Information and Communication Technology
- Niche Manufacturing
- Internationally Trading Services
